We are super excited to announce that Touch a Truck is back for its fourth year! Join us for an interactive, hands-on, family event.
Meet us down at Temple Gardens Centre on Saturday September 6th from 11 am to 3 pm.
It's more than just a car show—it's an interactive, hands-on experience where families can connect with the vehicles that keep our community moving, and the everyday heroes who operate them. Kids can hear the sirens, climb into the driver’s seat, and learn about vehicle safety directly from the pros. When paired with literacy elements, the event becomes even more impactful—turning every honk, switch, and conversation into a chance for language enrichment, hands-on learning, and community-based literacy development.
Here are some details:
- This event is free for families with children between the ages of 0-8, however older siblings are welcome!
- There will be vehicles outside on 1st Ave.
- Activities and more vehicles inside the curling rink.
- All children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver!
- Concession will be available to purchase food and drinks!
- There will be lots of noise for most of the day, bring your own headphones.
- There will be a Sensory Sensitive time from 2:30pm-3:00pm (less lights, sirens & horns).
